Sustainability

The number of dialysis patients is growing steadily, challenging the sustainability of the healthcare systems that look after them. The question is how NephroCare can contribute to the sustainability of healthcare?

We strive to continuously improve medical outcomes while using resources efficiently. To do this we employ the holistic NephroCare Value System. The NephroCare Value System is our solution to balance standardised processes and local demands for holistic and fully integrated renal care systems.

We are aware of our social responsibility towards our patients, employees, stakeholders and society in general.

  • We empower our staff through a cooperative working environment, including our employees in organisational and work-related decision-making and enabling a continuous professional and social development.
  • We also work to provide the appropriate renal care for each patient, using advanced technologies to enable the best therapies, while taking the time to listen to patients, understanding their needs and doing what is best for them – e.g. doing all we can to maximise their transplant suitability.

In all our NephroCare dialysis centres we strive to work in an environmentally friendly way to reduce the environmental burden of dialysis. Since 2009 we have accomplished a tremendous overall reduction of waste generation and water consumption in our NephroCare centres.
